We’re chuffed to announce that En Heat feature on Blang on Blang: Star‑Crossed Lovers, the new 20th‑anniversary compilation from the ever‑adventurous Blang Records. The album brings together twelve artists from across the label’s history, each reinterpreting a track from another Blang act, a chaotic, affectionate family swap of influences, noise, and oddball brilliance.
For our contribution, we’ve taken on Jeffrey Lewis’s cult classic “Scowling Crackhead Ian”, reshaping it into our own twisted, Anglesey‑soaked reimagining: “Scowling Smackhead Iwan.” It’s a love letter to Lewis’s storytelling spirit, filtered through our En Heat’s lens.
The compilation arrives on cherry‑red vinyl with sleeve notes, artwork, and all the scrappy heart that defines Blang. You can explore the full release on the Blang site here:

It’s great to be part of this celebration of two decades of DIY invention, outsider songwriting, and the gloriously crooked world of Blang.
